Adv. Anna Moshe
Adv. Anna Moshe, the firm’s senior partner, focuses her practice on commercial law, corporate financing, internet law, international mergers, acquisitions and intellectual property.
She gained extensive experience in counseling, accompanying and representing a variety of smaller as well as multi-national companies and in accompanying them throughout their life cycle. She has worked with a large number of local to multinational enterprises from a diverse range of companies and enterprises in such business sectors as High Tech, Startups, Telecom and Global Services in Israel, Korea, Japan, USA and Europe. Ms. Moshe serves her clients in English, Hebrew and Russian. She is an expert on transactions in Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries, including cellular, aeronautics, real estate, technology and other fields.
Prior to establishing MBKB & Co. with Harry J.F. Bloomfield, Alan Baker and Moti Kobo, Anna was a senior associate in the International Department of the prestigious Israeli law firm of Yigal Arnon & Co. In this position she was involved as lead counselor in a broad range of commercial transactions both local and international.
From 2004 to 2006, Ms. Moshe was the Executive Vice President in FavoWeb Ltd. a prominent and successful Israeli Startup providing unique and comprehensive solutions for fault management, prediction and prevention. Holding this position she was in charge of investor relations, financing, Board of Directors activity and conduct, simultaneously with providing on-going legal counseling to A.L.D. Ltd. (TASE:ALD) - the company's publicly traded mother company.
Previously, for a period of six years she worked in the Emblaze Group (LSE: BLZ.L), during which period Emblaze evolved from a small Israeli software company to a global group of technology companies listed on the London Stock Exchange, focusing mainly on IT, software and mobile sectors. At Emblaze, starting as a legal advisor, Ms. Moshe moved to creating and heading the Group's legal department, wherein she managed the Group's frequent and numerous contractual engagements, ranging from on-going commercial activity, through regulatory matters and corporate law, to mergers, acquisitions and other business development ventures.
In addition she initiated and executed internal legal restructuring projects, the most outstanding of which was the Intellectual Property portfolio enhancement project that resulted in strengthening the Group’s IP base, supporting its rapid growth and enhancing the Group's IP bargaining ability. As well as managing the legal department Anna held the following positions in Emblaze; Vice President, Corporate Secretary and the Group's Compliance Officer, in charge of compliance with the London Stock Exchange listing rules and the interaction with the house broker.
During her time at Emblaze Anna Moshe was involved in the successful capital raising of more than $500 million, and she participated in all stages of reorganizing the rapidly growing Group, including in establishing subsidiaries and ventures worldwide and managing the Group's tax structuring.
Anna Moshe is fluent in Hebrew, English and Russian. She attained her legal education at the Israeli College of Business Administration where she graduated with an LL.B in 1995, and at Bar Ilan University, where she received her LL.M degree in 1999.

Harry J.F. Bloomfield, Q.C.
Henry (Harry) Joseph Frederick Bloomfield, Q.C., KJ.ST.J., B.A., LL.L., M.B.A., is a Canadian lawyer and philanthropist specializing in Canadian Federal and Provincial Corporate Law, international finance, securities matters and international taxation law.
From 1980 - 1984, Harry J.F. Bloomfield, Q.C. was the President of the Progressive Conservative Riding Association in Mount Royal. He was the defeated PC candidate in the 1980 elections running against Pierre Trudeau.
In 1992, he was awarded rank of Knight by the Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem and was elevated to Knight of Justice in 1993.
From March 1981 to March 1987 he served as a Member of the Commission des Valeurs Mobilieres du Qébec, also called the Quebec Securities Commission. In 1987 he was nominated to the Board of Directors of the BDC (Business Development Bank of Canada) and served there for 10 years; 7 of which as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
In 1994, in partnership with Bank Julius Baer of Zurich, Switzerland, he formed and was the first Chairman of BJB Global Investments, Ltd., a Canadian wealth-management advisory firm with headquarters in Montreal.
In 1998, he became the President of the Canadian Branch of the International Law Association, leading the Canadian delegation to the London Conference (2000) and the New Delhi Conference (2002), and later spearheaded an invitation for the world 2006 Conference held in Toronto, Canada.
In November of 2007, he was awarded the Gold Medal for meritorious philanthropic work and international social bridge-building, by the Jordanian National Red Crescent Society, Dr. Mohammed Al-Hadid, President and Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. It is the highest award that they offer.
As managing partner of the law firm of Bloomfield & Ass., Mr. Bloomfield holds the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory peer-ranked rating of AV, the "A" representing the very highest category of legal ability; and the "V" the very highest rating given for general ethical standards.

Ambassador Alan Baker
Ambassador Alan Baker is one of Israel’s leading international law experts. He served as the Legal Counsel and Deputy Director General of Israel’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs between 1996 and 2004, followed by four years (2004-8) as Israel’s ambassador to Canada.
He joined the Foreign Service after spending several years as a military prosecutor and subsequently senior legal adviser in the Israel Defense Force’s International Law Division, dealing in defense and security related matters and representing the Ministry of Defense and IDF at international conferences on various aspects of international humanitarian law, disarmament, military law and related matters.
During his 35 year period of service in Israel government he was directly involved in Middle East peace process negotiations and the drafting of the various peace treaties and other agreements between Israel and its neighbors, as well as commercial, aviation and other agreements with other countries. As Legal Counsel to the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Baker advised the respective Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers of Israel, as well as the Cabinet, Knesset committees and governmental bodies on international law issues.
Between 1995-9, he was seconded by the Israeli Government to the United Nations as a Senior Legal Officer in the Bureau of the UN Legal Counsel, dealing inter alia with international development and assistance projects, UN Administrative Tribunal cases, and real-estate contracts regarding UN properties throughout the world.
Ambassador Baker has represented Israel at international conferences and negotiations in such fields of international law as maritime and sea law, aviation law, international criminal law, environment law, water resources, military, disarmament and international humanitarian law and human rights law, and assisted in drafting several international counter-terrorism treaties. He has built up considerable expertise in the legal aspects of counter-terrorism.
Notably, Ambassador Baker represented Israel at the preparatory committees and conferences involved in the drafting of the Statute of the International Criminal Court (1998), and coordinated Israel’s Legal presentation to the International Court of Justice in The Hague on the issue of Israel’s security barrier (2004).
Since 1989 Ambassador Baker serves as one of the Israeli members of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, an intergovernmental organization with over one hundred member states, established in 1899 to facilitate arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution between states, combinations of states, state entities, intergovernmental organizations, and private parties. He is also a member of the International Institute for Humanitarian Law.
Between 2001-2003 he coordinated and headed an inter-agency negotiating team which successfully negotiated a complex trilateral compensation agreement with Russia and the Ukraine following the downing by the Ukraine of a civil aircraft with many Israeli and Russian casualties.
As Israel’s Ambassador to Canada (2004-8), in addition to the tasks of representing Israel vis a vis the Canadian government and people, Ambassador Baker was the founding force behind the establishment of the Canada-Israel Chamber of Commerce and a staunch proponent of enhancing the commercial contacts between Israel and Canada in the public, governmental sector, as well as in the private sectors between Israeli and Canadian companies and entrepreneurs. He initiated bilateral agreements in the fields of agriculture, trade, counter-terrorism and industrial research and development.
Ambassador Baker has published articles on the International Criminal Court, aspects of international humanitarian law and the Middle East peace process, water in the Middle East and other subjects, and regularly speaks on panels and on campuses, on matters of international law and the peace process.
In addition to his membership if the Israel Bar, Ambassador Baker is a member of the International Law Association, the International Institute of Humanitarian Law, the International Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists, and he serves as a member of Israel’s panel of arbitrators at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (The Hague).

Adv. Moti Moshe Kobo
Adv. Moti Moshe Kobo graduated in 1995 from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has extensive experience particularly in the civil sphere as well as in business matters and commercial litigation. He has written legal pleadings and participated in court hearings, prepared legal opinions and engaged in a variety of subjects in labor law and intellectual property law, including regular appearances before courts and arbitrations.
Advocate Kobo allocates time for pro-bono litigation for non-profit organizations dedicated to supporting the needy, transportation to hospitals and assisting new immigrants.
He also specializes in real estate law and has represented parties in some major Israeli law suits. Among his clients, major corporations and small business, landlords and business-persons. Israeli branches of global corporations, amongst them, American and European newspapers and media corporations.
In 1996 Advocate Moti Kobo served as a Business Development Manager for Red Sea Magic Ltd., a company specializing in international commerce and naval practice. He was admitted to the Israel Bar in 1996 and is continuing in educational programs. From 1997 he was employed in a prominent law firm in Jerusalem, specializing in business litigation. In 2001 he established his own independent law firm.
Previously, Moti Kobo served as the personal assistant to the Minister of Energy of the State of Israel.
Moti Kobo joined MBKB & Co. in 2009 as a partner and Head of the Litigation Department.

Adv. Nir Steinberg
Advocate Nir Steinberg specializes primarily in Corporate & Commercial Law and Financial Transactions.
He joined MBKB in 2009 after practicing as a lawyer at a leading High-Tech law firm where he gained valuable experience in Corporate Law and investment transactions. He also acted for clients in a variety of cross-border corporate transactions, including Committed Equity Financing Facility, private offerings (PPM) through English entities and public offering on the London Capital Market (AIM). Advocate Steinberg has particular expertise in representing emerging growth companies, where he assists with Venture Capital equity and debt financings (including assisting through the due diligence process), Corporate partnering, Intellectual Property licensing, commercial agreements (domestic and international contractual matters such as research, manufacturers, agency and distributors issues,) and employee benefits. He regularly advises shareholders and directors in respect of their rights and obligations.
Previously, Nir Steinberg worked in a Clean-Tech investment body in their business development department.
He is fluent in Hebrew, English and Russian.
